THE HIGHPOINTERS WITH THE BARGO BROTHERS

Branndon+Portrait_Page_2_Image_0002.jpg

The Highpointers with the Bargo Brothers is about two adventurous brothers from Texas who explore the United States by climbing the highest point in all 50 states. They invite local experts and some of the country's most interesting people to join them as they discover the best that each state has to offer.

One of the best ways to see the most beautiful and pristine places in the U.S. is to climb the highest point. From a 300-foot hill in Florida to a 20,300-foot peak in Alaska. This unique form of hiking and climbing is known as highpointing and those who strive to reach a high point are called highpointers. The challenge varies from state to state - from big technical peaks like Mount Rainier in Washington - to small hills on private property like Driskill Mountain in Louisiana.

Every Highpointers episode starts in the big city. They try to find one unique and fun thing to do before leaving the sprawl for the countryside. They count down the miles as they make their way to the highpoint. Before reaching the highpoint they find at least one adventure to square off for a little brotherly competition. They also make sure to stop off at a local restaurant before their big climb. Of course each episode finishes with a climb to the state highpoint and a signature high five with their local guest.
